Who is DJ Da Trooth?
DJ Da Trooth (Stefan Bleis) is a DJ, producer and songwriter. Born in 1977 in Cologne, Germany, he has been behind the decks for over three decades. His sound blends R&B, hip-hop, new jack swing and dancehall.
What does DTM stand for?
DTM stands for “Da Trooth Made”. The abbreviation marks work that comes from DJ Da Trooth’s own house, for example in the logo and in the “DTM Club Mix”.
What music does DJ Da Trooth play?
His sets move between smooth 90s R&B, hip-hop, new jack swing and dancehall. He plays without pre-made playlists, reads the crowd and mixes classics with his own productions.

He discovered DJing at the age of 14, and his first years as a DJ began in 1991. In 2019 he largely withdrew from active DJing, and in 2025 he returned to the decks and started a new chapter as a producer.

Yes. Since his comeback in 2025 he has been releasing original tracks and remixes. He also works as a songwriter, from the first hook to the finished song.
